With over 20 years of experience in the Training and Education industry, Amber Griffin has dedicated her career to developing and delivering high-impact training programs that are modern, relevant, and evidence-based.
Amber began her journey as a consultant for the Ministry of Colleges and Universities, where she played a key role in developing and reviewing curriculum and licensing examinations for Provincial and National Apprenticeship programs. She then transitioned into a trainer role with the City of Mississauga’s Parks Department, providing specialized training to municipal employees.
Her expertise in training program development led her to accept the position of Training Coordinator for the City of Mississauga’s Security Services Unit, where she designed and implemented comprehensive Security Operations and Transit Enforcement training programs. Through this work, Amber developed a strong passion for training law enforcement professionals, which led her to become an Instructor for the accredited University of Toronto iPREP program.

David Martin

With over a decade in public law enforcement and nearly 20 years in post-secondary education, David Martin is a dedicated instructor who brings real-world experience and modern training techniques to every course he teaches. His passion for education was ignited during his time as a coach officer, where he recognized the need for practical, experience-driven training that directly applies to real-life situations.
David’s commitment to effective instruction led him to transition into a career in post-secondary education, where he spent nearly two decades refining his teaching methodologies and developing engaging, skills-based training programs. His expertise in instructional design and learner engagement eventually propelled him into the role of training manager with a global security agency, where he oversaw high-level training initiatives on an international scale.

Senior Instructor (United States) Step Training Inc.
Retired from the Administrative Office of the United States Courts, Federal Probation and Pretrial Academy in Charleston, South Carolina as Chief of the Safety and Firearms Branch. The Safety and Firearms Branch is responsible for serving approximately 6000 officers.
Throughout the 94 Judicial Districts, I was responsible for developing and delivering 6 national training programs, policy development, equipment, budgeting, curriculum development, and supervising up to 20 staff members. I had the privilege of being part of the original staff who created and opened the Federal Probation and Pretrial Academy (FLETC) in 2005.
